Abstract
The first step a district uses to identify English Learners (ELs) is often a home language survey. But some surveys may produce inaccurate information that leads to misidentification. This 15-minute self-assessment is for state and district leaders who oversee the identification of ELs to assess the quality of their home language surveys.
