Abstract
This coaching tool was developed to support teachers whose classes include English learners (ELs). It complements the Marzano Focused Teacher Evaluation Model which includes four domains: Standards-Based Planning, Standards-Based Instruction, Conditions for Learning, and Professional Responsibilities. This tool includes elements, focus statements, and EL Critical Attributes that summarize strategies specifically for ELs. The tool illustrates teacher practices by providing examples for each element and resources to further support teachers' practices.
