The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) hosted a listening session on Friday, May 12, 2023, featuring multilingual K–12 educators. The panel discussion was moderated by the Assistant Deputy Secretary and Director, Montserrat Garibay. This webinar focused on the experiences and expertise of multilingual teachers to support ELs and their families. The webinar highlighted resources to promote multilingual education and the maintenance of Native languages.
