Abstract
This webinar examines how practitioners can implement culturally responsive and sustaining practices (CRSP) to achieve student outcomes via: (1) academic achievement, (2) cultural competency, and (3) critical consciousness within a standards-based and high accountability culture. Participant objectives are to be able to: (1) Explore key characteristics of culturally responsive and sustaining practices; (2) Discuss the importance of utilizing culturally responsive and sustaining practices in classrooms supportive of all students; (3) Examine the qualities of culturally responsive and sustaining classrooms; and (4) Identify Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Practices in an example classroom lesson.
