Student mobility takes an academic toll. But why?

Researchers and advocacy groups are bracing for an avalanche of new data on mobility once ESSA, the Every Student Succeeds Act, goes into effect. ESSA requires the tracking and reporting of academic performance of a number of groups of students who frequently change schools; the resulting data may offer insight into the impact of such moves on students.
