Abstract
An ethnographic research design was used in this two-year project examining the impacts of school parent liaisons and immigrant Latino families. Findings indicated the liaisons were critical in fostering connections between the school and the families; these connections contributed to the Latino children's success. This study also found that school administrators who were proactive in connecting with Latino families created a more positive school climate for the Latino children.
