Abstract
A four-year field-based undergraduate teacher preparation program implemented by a university seeking to prepare all its teacher candidates to teach in linguistically and culturally schools was examined. The focus of the research was to identify how different facets of the field-based program promoted or deterred teacher candidates' learning and their eventual ability to teach in diverse classrooms.
