Abstract
The author begins this article by describing how a teacher teaches ecology to a class of English language learners (ELs) with different levels of English proficiency. She then lists seven instructional strategies based for teachers to use that are based on a synthesize of the research and its implications. This is a practical and informative guide for teachers of EL students.
