Abstract
This letter introduces guidance on the inclusion of ELs with disabilities in English language proficiency assessments under Titles I and III of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended. The guidance consists of frequently asked questions in five sections: (1) General Obligations; (2) Role of the individualized education program (IEP) Team; (3) Accommodations and Alternate Assessments; (4) Exit from EL Status; and (5) AMAOs.
