Abstract
In SY 2015–16, the national graduation rate reached a record high of 84.1 percent for all public high school students, an increase of 4.1 percentage points from 2011-2012 (80 percent). Between SYs 2010–11 and 2015–16, graduation rates consistently increased for all racial and ethnic groups. Asian/Pacific Islander and White students graduated at higher rates than the national average for all students. The gaps between “all students” rates and ELs decreased by approximately 4.8 percentage points since SY 2010–11.
