In SY 2015–16, the national graduation rate reached a record high of 84.1 percent for all public high school students, an increase of 4.1 percentage points from 2011-2012 (80 percent). Between SYs 2010–11 and 2015–16, graduation rates consistently increased for all racial and ethnic groups.
