About the Presenter:
Dr. Barbara Kennedy ("BK") has been a multilingual educator for almost forty years, as a teacher of world languages and dual language/bilingual/ESL, a district administrator, a state director, and a national consultant. She is co-author of the Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education, 3rd Edition (2018) and supports dual language educators in designing and implementing effective dual language models (one-way, two-way) across the U.S. Fluent in German, Spanish, and English, Dr. Kennedy delivers technical assistance and professional development focused on instructional practices that promote bilingualism and biliteracy.
