Additionally, it is a valuable resource for educators, including PreK–12 teachers, Local Educational Agency/State Educational Agency administrators, and various school staff members like guidance counselors, principals, and after-school program coordinators. Organizations committed to aiding immigrants and ELs are also strongly encouraged to leverage the toolkit to provide comprehensive support to EL families.

The EL Family Toolkit and its app are accessible in four languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish.

 

3. How many chapters does the toolkit contain, and what topics do the chapters cover?

The toolkit comprises six chapters, each split into five sections: an overview, family, and student rights, questions to pose to schools, practical tips, and additional resources. The chapters cover topics such as school enrollment, extracurricular activities, and helping EL students succeed in U.S. schools.

By downloading the app, users will always have access to the content, even when not connected to the internet.
